Align Strategies and Fast Forward Accelerating Progress Through Clarity
and Focus
Align
Strategies, a MN nonprofit organization, formed Fast
Forward, a volunteer-based, Life Coaching program whose
objective is to support the efforts of Adult Basic Education
(ABE) clients. This is accomplished through one-on-one
coaching.
Adult
Basic Education (ABE) The ABE mission in Minnesota is to provide
adults with education opportunities to acquire and improve
their literacy skills necessary to be self-sufficient
and to participate effectively as productive workers,
family members and citizens.
Both Align
Strategies and ABE are of the strong belief that the
Fast Forward program will effectively assist the Minnesota
Department of Education ABE program to greater success
with its participants, achieving increased numbers in
their goals/outcomes:
Attain employment and/or better their current employment
Achieve high school equivalency (GED or high school
diploma)
Attain skills necessary to enter post-secondary
education and training
Exit public welfare and become self-sufficient
Master basic academic skills to help their children
succeed in school
Gain self-esteem, personal confidence, and a sense
of personal and civic responsibility
This
program not only helps students be successful in obtaining
their GED credential, but also to assist in goal-setting
toward vocational goals and independence. This gives
students the power to live to their potential and the
freedom to choose their destiny.
